Over the last few months I have been enjoying 'The Tudors' a series on Henry the VIII and his court

Season 1 -
Henry establishes his court , Has a mistress Elizabeth Blount and an illegitimate child Henry Fitzroy who dies by the end of series 1. due to his need of a male issue to continue his line he starts a divorce from Katherine  Aragon -starting a affair with Anna Bolina ,Bastardising Mary I ("Bloody Mary").
Fall of Cardinal Thomas Wolsey Who if he hadn't died on route would have been executed and Disgraced publicly anyway.

Season 2 -
Henry Unable to divorce Katherine breaks from Rome and instigates the Church of England with himself the supreme head -with Thomas Cramner as Archbishop of Canterbury.
marrying Anne Boleyn who's sole child is Elizabeth I (Virgin Queen) unable to conceive a male issue She is discarded and plotted against by Maybe Henry himself.Executions of Sir Thomas More and Cardinal Fisher.and Anne's execution and fall from power (her own father Letting his son and daughter die, his son condemning his own sister

Season 3-
starts with him marrying Jane Seymour and the Birth of Edward VI .Also the Pilgrimage of Grace
Which the north of England rose up in Rebellion trying to resurrect Catholicism as the religion as England's true faith. Henry's Relationship to Katherine Howard. Jane's Death. Cromwell's Downfall and death for the marriage of Anne of Cleves which was quickly annulled to henry's un-appeal of her during the early days of the marriage. and reconciliation of Henry to Mary and Elizabeth who were illegitimate due to their mothers were "Never truly married" so were bastard Children of Henry.
Charles Brandon 1st Duke of Suffolk

Season 4- Katherine's Sexual past catches up to her and Francis Derham and Thomas Culpepper are along with Katherine Howard are executed
Katherine Parr's marriage to Henry is in place
and the war with Bolounge in France (Wining it through conquest and then losing it when Charles V signed a treaty conceding it back to Francis I, Thoroughly annoying Henry).
Leaving Edward VI as King for 8 years under his uncle Lord protector Seymour -and Mary I for a further 5 years then Henry 8 and Elizabeth I who reigned 46 years in total

Mary in the series is shown to start her angry idea of Buring all the heratics at the stake and Elizabeth shocked at Henry's marriages Vows never to do so herself. giving identity for another seires if wanted setting up Mary's entrance into london her brothers Start to the reign and Elizabeth held in the tower of London.

In the Pilgrimage of Grace  The leaders John Constable, Robert Aske and sir Darcy of Darcy   were executed for Rebellion
and Brandon had to kill Either 300 people -Men women and children or rebellions number of 60,000 people. and later he sees a ghost of a young boy his sons age and another of Lord Darcy when in Darcy's own castle of Pontefract.

I am still a bit shaken by the 'nobles' getting the executioner drunk for Thomas Cromwell's execution and ganging up on him and dragging him down.the scene of Derham being hanged drawn and quartered   and Anne Boleyn's Apparent misconduct -which was in the final episode she came back with Elizabeth at her side and told Henry the charges against were false and only that she wanted him to be proud of a daughter who was the son he wanted "in a female succession" that the son would be Tilbury field that day.

Such a waste over trifles of religion  "There is but one Jesus Christ. The rest is trifles. " -Elizabeth I of England on Religious Matters

Jane  Seymour , Mary I , Elizabeth I, Thomas more , Thomas Wolsey, Charles Brandon, Katherine d Aragon , Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Katherine Howard, Anne of Cleves , Thomas Cromwell, Katherine Parr. and the Religious Heretics of the time where religion was utmost dangerous at best
